Man Of Steel Are We Missing Something?

Six years ago, Henry Cavill stepped in Superman’s boots and hit the big screen. The anticipation and expectations of fans were high. DC Comics would either make or break it with their reincarnation of one timeless and most beloved superhero of all time.

Six Years Ago

A little more than two months ago, I wrote an entire article about Krypton and the impression we got of it from Man of Steel. The Kryptonian planet lacked a few pertinent details and overall evacuation planning. Looking back on the article, Man of Steel, are we missing something?

If we compare this 2013 movie, to all the others made previous to it, it is an improvement. Despite Christopher Reeve being the only Superman to me, Henry Cavill in appearance hit the mark of Superman’s looks.

I want to thank you so much for this opportunity. I enjoyed doing this interview and it means a lot to me to be on your blog. Thank you!

1. What was the inspiration behind this story?

A.D. Wayne: I am a Trekker, I read Superman, I wanted to create something based on what I love about science fiction and give it life. Characters like Col. Samantha Carter from Stargate SG-1, Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica (remake,) and Mr. Data from Star Trek The Next Generation, are only a few that inspired me. The main one being, Captain Lorca.

2. Tell us about your main character.

A.D. Wayne: My main character is Frankie Stein. She is an IT at CaldTech Industries, abducted and taken from the 21st century only to end up on a starship in the 26th century. She has that natural and nerdy look to her. Jogging pants, Rick & Morty tank tops and shirts, tattoos, and black hair. However, she possesses something that permits her to…

I Don’t Usually Read Science Fiction

I am touched and incredibly grateful for this review. It touched my heart deeply and I can’t say thank you enough to have read my story.

Short Story Scribe

FRANKENSTEIN (Supra Project Book 1) by [Wayne, A.D.]I love science fiction in every form, except the written. For some reason, I am simply not drawn to Science Fiction books. Occasionally, I will pick one up and read it, but often times it is stories with which I am familiar. Star Trek, Buck Rogers, etc…

I came across Frankenstein on a social media group. I make it a habit to read at least one book by independent authors a month, so I thought I would give this ago. From the opening paragraph, I was intrigued and hooked. I read it slowly, taking only about a chapter a night to completely immerse myself in the story. The author pays a lot of fan service to those who, like me, watch more science fiction than they read. I found myself chuckling at the inventiveness of certain references.

For what appears to be the first book in a series, A.D. tells…

The Review of Batman Nightwalker Except There Is No Batman

Ever since I was a child, Batman was part of my life. It didn’t matter if it was reruns of the Adam West incarnation or a cartoon, even Tim Burton’s. As I grew up, my love for Batman grew stronger and more prominent to the point that now I call myself a Batmanologist. This review is not going to be pretty. Brace for impact.

*** Note that I have nothing against Marie Lu, as I never read one of her novels. I am only critiquing her Batman Nightwalker novel alone.
Spoiler Alert. ***

Batman Nightwalker Official Summary

The Nightwalkers are terrorizing Gotham City, and Bruce Wayne is next on their list. Bruce is turning eighteen and inheriting his family’s fortune, not to mention the keys to Wayne Industries and all the tech gadgetry that he could ever desire.

However, on the way home from his birthday party, he makes an impulsive choice that leads to community service at Arkham Asylum, the infamous prison. There, he meets Madeleine Wallace, a brilliant killer with ties to the Nightwalkers.

Facebook Is Playing Hide And Seek

What started as a platform to connect and create new friendship grew to become more. It gave a chance to many of us to create a fanbase for our art. What used to be a light lost its shine. What used to give us freedom now tries to blind us.

It Started Small

Facebook is the number one platform for many artists and authors in the indie community. Many of us depend on this particular social media to develop our social media platform and create a follower base.

It started with opportunities to boost posts and create ads. Following, Facebook grabbed all the advertisement it could to overflow the newsfeed of its users. It was like watching a movie with except with every five scenes you got five minutes of advertisement!
